Solving problems in a fun and exciting way. Tom Wahle uses a wide variety of methods- slides, huge props, juggling, blues harmonica, and even balloon tying - to teach technology and science concepts. In addition to being fun, the activities are highly educational. They reinforce the schools curriculum, illustrate how concepts are applied to real life situations, and incorporate state standards.
The Topsfield Education Foundation has funded full day Techsploration programs for all students at Proctor School for the 2007-08 and 2008-09 school years. Some of the concepts explored are Simple Machines, Electricity, Transportation, and Structures.
TEF was the sole sponsor of the Techsploration program from 2007-2009 at a cost of $13,000.
